HOW IT WORKS
STEP1: Submit Project Proposal (your tattoo idea) to the desired artist.
We have two custom artists. Nathan Petz and Emily Kay. Please review the portfolios to ensure the artist does work that aligns with your desired design. We are CUSTOM artists, meaning whatever idea you bring to us, we will be redesigning in the style we do, giving you a one-of-a-kind tattoo.
FILL OUT THE FORM IN ITS ENTIRETY! If you don't give full details, your project may be passed on.
STEP2: Look out for the AUTO REPLY
This will come within minutes of submitting your idea. There is further info regarding the booking process and when the artist is booking for.
If your project is selected, the artist will personally reach out with further questions, or dates to choose from.
**IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE AUTO REPLY, CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. If the auto reply is still not there, it is likely you had a typo in your email address you provided in the submission form.**
We try to respond to every request weather we pass on the project, or accept it, but with the high demand of our artists, replying to everyone is not possible. If you do not get a reply from the artist within a week of submitting, your project was not selected. Typically, the main reasons artists pass on the project is that the subject matter does not align with the direction of their work.
STEP3: Pay the retainer
Now the artist has selected your project, and you have been given dates to choose from for tattoo time. The artist will send you an invoice for $100-$200 per appointment to secure your time. This will arrive in your email via Square from Vertigo Tattoo LLC. If you do not get that retainer to the artist by the end of the evening, it is likely the available spot will be offered to other clients looking to book.
The retainer comes off the overall price of the tattoo. It is also non-refundable and non- transferable between people or projects. If you decide to not get tattooed, or change your mind, the full amount of the retainers will go toward the artist for their lost time.
STEP4: Prepare for your appointment
The artist typically reaches out the day before your scheduled appointment to confirm and answer any questions you have about the design.
Please make sure that if you are sick within days of the scheduled time you communicate to your artist asap and we can reschedule.
Eat a good meal, shower and dress in clean attire for the appointment. You may also want to bring snacks, water, and a phone charger for longer appointments.
Your artists will provide a digital release form for you to fill out before you begin tattooing. Communicate if you have any sensitivities or medical issues. GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID IS REQURED AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
All this above info is designed to give you insight for everything leading up to the appointment. After the procedure, your artist will supply you with verbal and written aftercare instructions, as well as aftercare supplies.
